$5 million wrongful death suit filed over deaths of two teen highway workers
Posted on December 9th, 2009 by Zane Cagle
Last month, two teenagers were working in a median in Tennessee when a truck driver veered off the road, striking the two workers and knocking down several metal fence posts. Both workers died at the scene. This month, a wrongful death suit was filed seeking $5 million from the company that owned the truck. The suit alleged that the trucker was negligent and lost control of his truck possibly due to fatigue or because he was texting at the time of the accident. The plaintiff is the mother of one of the worker’s young daughter, and her attorney is seeking a jury trial.
