According to the Associated Press, the nation’s largest retailer, recently entered into a sealed lawsuit settlement with the family of a victim of who received the wrong medication in a prescription..
The plaintiffs filed the suit last year after the victim, age 66, received the wrong medication from a local pharmacy of the retailer Eight days after taking the medicine, he became very ill and died at Maryland hospital.
As a result of his sudden passing, his family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the country’s largest retailer, asking for $3 million for severe emotional pain and suffering. A federal judge in Baltimore recently sealed the settlement agreement between the retailer and the victim’s family.
