According to the Associated Press, a group of eight motorcycle riders was stopped at an intersection when a dump truck failed to stop and plowed into the back of the group, killing three riders.
Some of the bikes caught fire under the truck while others were scattered behind it.
So far, no details have been released on why the truck driver failed to stop. He could be held liable for damages to the injured riders and the victim’s families if found to have been negligent or reckless.
