Family files $5 million suit after truck accident

The family of a bicyclist who was killed in a collision with a truck filed a wrongful death suit for $5 million against both the trucker and his employer.
The accident occurred when the victim was riding his bicycle behind the truck. When the trucker turned right, the victim became caught in the truck’s rear wheels, killing him instantly.
The suit alleges negligence on behalf of the driver because a surveillance video showed that the driver failed to use his turn signal or ensure the road was clear of traffic, cyclists, and pedestrians. The video also shows that the biker was following proper bicycle laws, and that the trucker did not even stop after running the victim over.
