Posted on April 19th, 2013 by Zane Cagle

An 87 year old woman has died from her injuries sustained in an auto accident on Tuesday on the South Side of St. Louis according to Fox2now.com. The accident occurred near Grand and Osage, but it was not a regular car crash.  Police were pursuing an 18 year old suspect who was reported on the loose in South St. Louis. When police caught up with him and asked him to step out of his car, he shifted into reverse, nearly hit an officer and fled on Osage, going east.  During the getaway, the suspect struck a vehicle with three people in it at the intersection of Osage and Grand. All three passengers were injured and hospitalized and one person, the 87 year old woman has died from her injuries.

Car accidents happen under the best circumstances, but when someone is injured or killed due to negligent or reckless behavior on the part of another, it is an injustice.  While police later caught up with the suspect, the injured parties’ lives are forever changed. Police indicate they are still investigating this accident.
