The husband of a woman killed when her 2009 Toyota Corolla suddenly accelerated and crashed filed a wrongful death suit against Toyota earlier this month. This suit is only one of the entire slew of lawsuits Toyota is facing right now regarding defective car parts.
The victim died in a violent crash when her gas pedal stuck, causing her to drive through a stop sign and into a concrete wall.
The plaintiff named Toyota and the dealership who leased the car for gross negligence, and he claims in the suit that the defective gas pedal existed at the time the product left the manufacturer’s hands.
