John S. Appelbaum, Jr.
Since beginning as an intern with The Cagle law Firm in 2018, John has diligently and vigorously represented clients with serious injuries.
John grew up in northern Jefferson County, Missouri, where his father began his legal career as a prosecutor. At St. John Vianney High School, he was part of the school’s mock trial team where they competed in the Missouri State Championship. After high school, John attended Missouri State University, in Springfield MO, studying English and Political Science. He served on several executive and planning boards in degree-related areas. He graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Writing and a minor in International Relations.
After working in various health related fields, John decided to begin law school at Saint Louis University, the best Health Care Law program in the United States. John interned and clerked with the Missouri Public Defender, St. Louis University Hospital, and The Cagle Law Firm. After clerking with The Cagle Law Firm, John gained a deep appreciation for the importance of protecting injured people and joined the practice after graduation from Saint Louis University in May of 2019.
While at SLU, John made the Dean’s List many semesters and completed his Concentration from the esteemed Center for Health Law Studies. He brings this knowledge and specialized skill to hold insurance companies accountable for their duties, make sure companies do the right thing, and assure injured clients do not feel alone while seeking justice.
