A fatal car and semi-truck crash involving an 18-wheel tractor trailer in Maine last week took the life of the occupational health director at a hospital in Sanford. According to Sanford Police reports, the doctor was killed late Tuesday afternoon when a truck struck her SUV on the driver’s side while she attempted to make a left turn. The Police chief claims that obscured vision due to a hill could have contributed to the accident, believing the truck crested the hill just as the doctor made the turn. The crash remains under investigation with no charges filed as of yet.
