Multi-Vehicle Crash in Ballwin—Clayton Road and Claymoor

Posted on August 29th, 2012 by Zane Cagle

One person was hospitalized and numerous others were injured in a multiple car accident in Chesterfield this afternoon.  The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. on Clayton Road near Claymoor Drive and involved three vehicles.

At this time, the extent of the injuries are uncertain of the three to four people injured.  Four ambulances and five fire trucks responded to the scene.  At time of press, Clayton Road was closed.

It is uncertain as of yet what caused the multiple car accident and I will be interested in the following reports about this accident.

After a car accident, it is important to do the following: (download our free app  Injury Attorney for completing the easy steps): If you are able:

  1. Check other drivers and passengers for injuries, call for medical assistance at 911
  2. Take pictures of the wrecked automobiles and crash site with your cell phone camera
  3. Give full information to police for accident report
  4. Get names  and contact information from other drivers as well as insurance information
  5. Monitor your health and be cautious if you develop aches and pains or if pain persists.  When in doubt, seek medical assistance right away.

We always recommend to any one that has been in a car accident to seek medical assistance.  The adrenaline after an automobile accident may mask initial injuries or you may shrug off aches and pains as just a common result. However, I see clients frequently that did not seek medical assistance but found that their aches and pains did not go away for several weeks. This is a strong indicator that something is wrong.  Back pain can be misread after a car crash.  Disc damage is often overlooked.  Often in the emergency room, the emergency team will look for fractures and life threatening injuries.  However, disc damage can be one of the most painful injuries.

If your neck or back pain continues, it is important to consult a specialist.

I am hoping none of the above individuals experienced serious injuries.  You usually only need an attorney if you have sustained serious, life changing injuries.  If you are curious about whether or not you should contact an attorney………………..it never hurts. And, it does not cost anything to get information from a personal injury attorney.  I talk with individuals daily and help them determine whether or not they need an attorney. As well, I negotiate with insurance adjusters on a daily basis.  Research indicates that insurance claims filed by an attorney on behalf of the injured increase the monetary amount received.

You are not searching for an extraordinary large settlement……………only what is fair.  I work to get that fair amount on behalf of the seriously injured.
