Parents file suit against daycare over toddler’s death

A tragic accident in 2007 took the life of a toddler when he fell into a septic tank outside his daycare center. This month, the parents have filed suit against the daycare, alleging negligence for failing to secure the tank’s lid.
Investigation into the accident revealed that the tank’s lid was damaged when a truck backed into it about a month prior to the toddler’s death. The parents allege that if the daycare had repaired the damage, the toddler would not have fallen and drowned.
