A man was killed in an accident on I-70 in St. Louis Christmas Eve morning after being hit by a pickup truck driver who lost control and struck him while the man was outside his vehicle. The accident occurred Dec 24 when the victim had been involved in a car accident. He then got out of his car to check on the other drivers when a pickup truck also lost control of his vehicle and hit him. The man was taken to a local hospital, but sadly died later that day. No one else involved in the accidents was seriously injured, and no charges have been filed as of yet. However, the family of the man killed could have a legal claim against the pickup truck driver for wrongful death if the driver is found to have been negligent.
