The driver of the SUV, a 16 year-old Sheridan woman was not listed as injured according to the patrol report. The patrol said the fatally injured victim was not wearing a safety device, but the other two victims were wearing safety devices.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Motor vehicle accidents are the number one cause of death and serious injuries for teenagers.

Intersection or T-bone type crashes are very common.  In the case of a side-impact crash, there is very little crumple zone or buffer area to absorb the shock, such as in a rear-end collision or even a head-on collision.  While some vehicles have side impact air bags, overall, a rather thin door and window is all that separates the occupant and another striking vehicle.

Following a Crash, Legal Representation is Crucial

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle crash or if you have lost a loved one in a motor vehicle crash, then you should contact an expert personal injury attorney right away.  In serious crashes, physical recovery can take months and months and run up enormous medical bills.  You should not speak with any insurance adjusters until you contact a car crash attorney.  As well, you should not discuss your injuries with an insurance adjuster until you have consulted an attorney.

Our attorneys understand what an ordeal a motor vehicle crash can be involving a serious injury. When a death is involved, it is another situation altogether and you should not have to go through any of the steps alone with out legal assistance.
