Texas Police are still looking for the driver of an 18-wheel gravel truck that failed to stop after an accident last month that killed a 5-year-old girl. According to newspaper articles, while on the way to school, the little girl was asleep in the back of her mother’s Camaro with her brother. Suddenly, the truck collided with another vehicle in the oncoming lane, causing it to spin into the driver side of the Camaro and strike the vehicle precisely where the young girl rested her head. The victim’s mother said she saw the truck drive away as she attempted to help her daughter, but among the chaos of the wreck, did not get a good enough look to identify it. Police investigators believe the gravel truck had attempted to swing out in front of the Mercedes from an outside lane, and the rear of the truck clipped the front of the Mercedes, which then caused it to hit the Camaro. As a result of the impact, the victim suffered a skull fracture and died at the hospital with her parents by her side.
