Family gets $2.3 million after motorcycle crash involving officer

The family of a motorcyclist who was killed in an accident involving a police offer won a $2.3 million verdict against the city named in the wrongful death suit. At the time of the accident, the police officer was attempting to make a U-turn onto a highway and struck the motorcycle, killing the victim. The police officer suffered only minor injuries. Although authorities found no criminal wrongdoing on behalf of the officer, the state Department of Public Safety issued him a ticket for an unsafe order paxil online turn.
