Family gets $2.3 million after motorcycle crash involving officer

The family of a motorcyclist who was killed in an accident involving a police offer won a $2.3 million verdict against the city named in the wrongful death suit. At the time of the accident, the police officer was attempting to make a U-turn onto a highway and struck the motorcycle, killing the victim. The police officer suffered only minor injuries.
