A man was sent to an Ohio hospital after running a red light and causing a multiple-car crash last week. According to Police, the driver was attempting to pass on the right while three cars were stopped for a red light at an intersection. After passing, the driver veered left and struck a Honda Civic that was turning left. This caused the driver’s Mercedes to crash into two other vehicles both traveling in the opposite direction. With the initial impact, the Honda Civic ended up crossing four lanes of traffic before hitting a parked car and an office building. All drivers were transported to a local hospital, but the driver responsible for the accident was helicoptered to Ohio State Medical Center. He was listed in fair condition. Police are still investigating why he ran the red light, but he could be found liable for any injuries sustained as a result of his driving.
