Two Pedestrians Injured in Auto-Pedistrian Accident in South St. Louis

Two pedistrians were struck by a car as they were leaving Mass Saturday morning in South St. Louis. An eighty-year old man is in a drug-induced coma after sustaining serious injuries after being hit by an 85-year old driver of a Chevrolet. The injured man is a retired restaurant owner of three restaurants in the South St. Louis area and suffered broken hip and ribs, a dislocated shoulder and severe internal bleeding. Another 65-year old man was also struck by the car and was later released from the hospital with head and back pain. The 80-year old man immigrated to the United States from Italy in the early 1950’s.
